Hearing Help Card
COVID 19 posed significant challenges for many of us. We have all had to adapt to isolation, limited face to face communication, video link meetings and chats and communicating when wearing face masks.
For those of us with hearing loss who look for the assistance of visual cues of facial expressions, lip reading and body language, communication has become significantly more difficult. While we may be intensely aware of this, many of those around us with whom we communicate on a regular basis are probably not.
Hearing Matters Australia has recognised this and have developed our “Hearing Help” card as a practical way to help. The card is intended to help increase people’s awareness of the fact that hearing and understanding for you is harder that it maybe for them, and they can help you.
Whether you choose to pin it to your clothes or carry it with you to show where necessary is your choice but we hope that it helps.
