Hearing Matters Australia takes every opportunity to raise awareness at community and government levels, of the impacts and limitations associated with hearing loss on lifestyle and actions that can be taken by organisations to reduce those impacts. We represent our members & the wider hearing loss community as part of a broad network of disability support organisations who collaborate in advocating for the interests of their client groups.

Apart from the clear social and economic benefits of ensuring that people with hearing loss can participate as fully as possible in society, it is an obligation on commercial and public service organisations to ensure equal access under Australia’s disability discrimination legislation.
