This Award is presented to a long standing HMA Member in recognition of the outstanding contribution that they have made to HMA and the community of D/deaf and hard of hearing people.
The Libby Harricks Achievement Award
This award has been established by HMA Australia in memory of Libby Harricks, a friend and individual who through determination and spirit has achieved more than she ever thought possible, both for herself and for many others. It is awarded to someone in the community who over 25 years of age, is d/Deaf or hard of hearing and has achieved success. The award is presented in recognition of both public and personal achievement through self-determination and hard work. It is through an understanding of the importance of self-help and a tireless assistance to many other people to help them achieve their own potential and ability that this individual is recognized and applauded.
